Duo Terlano, the award-winning teaching and performing team of Johannes Dietrich, violin, and Marie-Aline Cadieux, cello, has established a reputation for dynamic and exciting performances and educational workshops. As well as standards from the duo repertoire, their programs include rediscovered gems from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods. Duo Terlano actively commissions new works, and has a lengthy list of original compositions and arrangements to its credit. Along with a busy performance schedule, Duo Terlano offers frequent master classes and clinics, both in the public schools and for music educators.

Duo Terlano's mission is to communicate the joy of chamber music to audiences of all ages. The duo has provided chamber music residencies at high schools, day-long workshops for elementary, middle school, and high school age players, and masterclasses for players of all levels. Their recitals, presented on chamber music series across the country and in Europe, are enlivened with commentary and demonstrations, embracing the audience as an active and vital part of the performance.

Both Dietrich and Cadieux are recipients of the Pennsylvania/Delaware String Teachers Association Outstanding String Teacher Award. The duo gets its name from the northern Italian town where they spent their first wedding anniversary.
